Step 1: Start by filling the Soil Cup with potting soil.
Step 2: Mix half a cap full of Osmocote fertilizer into the soil.
Step 3: Get a grocery store basil plant. Divide its root ball into 3 or 4 sections, each with stems and roots.
Step 4: Plant the basil sections. Optionally, add mycorrhizal fungi under roots for growth boost.
Step 5: If you are using your own bucket, drill a small drainage hole 1 inch above the handle. Note: Our buckets come pre-drilled for your convenience.
Step 6: Now, fill your 5-Gallon Bucket with water up to the level of the drainage hole.
Step 7: Position the Soil Cup on top of the water-filled Bucket.
Step 8: Water your newly planted basil from the top until water overflows from the drainage hole.
